My Name
My name is not really a common name but it is not that rare either. I've never met another person with my name before which is why I like it so much. I find it rather special. I was named after my aunt Adria. She died a year before i was born from heart problems. She was the type of person who would do anything for a friend. She was an extremely loving and caring friend and family member. My middle name(Javier) is simply just the name of my dad. My last name traces all the way back to a 15th century spanish conquistador, Antonio de Quinones. He was a captain that accompanied Hernando Cortes on his conquest for Mexico. He was the one who Hernando Cortes had the utmost confidence in. In 1522 he commissioned the family leader to recieve gold and jewels from the Chamber of Montezuma. The name Quinones comes from the latin words "quinio, quinionis" meaning "a part of or share of the profits". My first name(Adrian) means black;dark of the Adriatic which has something to do with the Adria or most commonly known as the Adriatic sea. To me my name is as special as a diomond in the rough or you could even say a jewel in the chamber of Montezuma.
