The One Thing I would Change from my Past(Blog Post #5)

The one thing that happened in the past that I would change would be the time I wasted all my money on video games I didn't want. For my birthday,I got a total of sixty dollars. I only had a single game for Xbox 360. The next day after I got my money, I went to GameStop and bought three games I thought was going to be fun. After buying them I took them home and started playing. A month passed since I had got the games. They weren't that good and I had already beat them. Little did I know that a game that I have really been wanting to play for a long time was coming out soon for Xbox. I was really starting to regret buy those three really cheap games. Sooner or later all my friends were buying the game and playing it. They would play it all the time and since I didn't have the game I was not able to play it with them. I ended up having to mow tons of lawns to get the money for the game. If I would have saved that money up I would have had the game sooner and wouldn't have had to mow so many lawns.

The one possession I value the Most(Blog post#4)

The one possession I value the most would be my Xbox 360. One of my favorite hobbies is playing video games. I've been playing video games ever since I was 7 years old. I used to play the first, really old version of Xbox all the time. My brother and I would end up loosing track of time and find out that we had played for at least over five hours. This shows how much fun it was. In the beginning of middle school my best friend goy this thing called an Xbox 360. When I first saw it I was amazed. Sooner or later all my friends were getting an Xbox 360. I begged my parents for one all the way from 5th grade to near the end of 8th grade, when I came back from school to see brand new,jet black Xbox 360 Slim sitting on my dresser. When I first got it I played every single day. Over time I received more and more games. I got sequels to the games I played as a kid such as Halo,Soul caliber, etc. now every time I don't have work to do or school I just sit back, turn on my Xbox, and play away.

The Most Important Thing I Did This Summer

The most important thing I did this summer was go to Cedar Point. Thanks to the company my father works for. Instead of just having a field day like last year, the company decided to start funding to go to Cedar Point since a majority of the new workers are young and actually willing to go to Cedar Point. The best part is that it was all free. When we got to the park, after eating breakfast at Burger King,my mom and dad split up from me,my sister, and our friend. This was the second time I had been to Cedar Point. The first time I was only about 6 or 7 years old. Two of my biggest fears are  high heights and fast speeds. So basically roller coasters are like my worst nightmare. When we started looking for rides,my sister was suggesting the worst ones for someone like me such as the Power Tower or the Dragster. After about twenty minutes they finally convinced me to get on a ride called the Magnum. As most rides start it went uphill slowly then dropped. When it dropped it felt as if I was plummeting straight to my death. Surprisingly, after I got off that one ride I decided to get on another, and then another. Next thing you know, I was actually starting to like roller coasters a little bit. After that, we hung out on the beach, played manhunt throughout the whole park, then left. Because I went to Cedar Point, I can actually say that I had fun this summer.

My Name

My name is not really a common name but it is not that rare either. I've never met another person with my name before which is why I like it so much. I find it rather special. I was named after my aunt Adria. She died a year before i was born from heart problems. She was the type of person who would do anything for a friend. She was an extremely loving and caring friend and family member. My middle name(Javier) is simply just the name of my dad. My last name traces all the way back to a 15th century spanish conquistador, Antonio de Quinones. He was a captain that accompanied Hernando Cortes on his conquest for Mexico. He was the one who Hernando Cortes had the utmost confidence in. In 1522 he commissioned the family leader to recieve gold and jewels from the Chamber of Montezuma. The name Quinones comes from the latin words "quinio, quinionis" meaning "a part of or share of the profits". My first name(Adrian) means black;dark of the Adriatic which has something to do with the Adria or most commonly known as the Adriatic sea. To me my name is as special as a diomond in the rough or you could even say a jewel in the chamber of Montezuma.

My Most Important Rule

The most important rule that people should follow is for everybody to be people of integrity. This one rule is important to follow because being people of integrity would even lower the crime rate in this world. This is because people would be in the right state of mind. People would have more respect for others and themselves. They would do no harm to other people(physically or mentally) because they would think it over what it would be like in their shoes. The people of integrity would have more self-discipline and would stop themselves from making an irrational decision and completing that certain decision. These types of people would not drop out of school or quit a frustrating job because they would put in the required work effort and maintain their high status of moral. To put it simply, the world wold be a much better place if everybody was a person of integrity.
